Bananas can be eaten when you’re on the go, or they can be included in any number of delicious desserts including this one.


  • 1 cup sliced ripe bananas
  • ¾ cup chopped mango (peeled)
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • Juice of a lime
  • 1 ½ cups skimmed milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt

Combine the bananas, mango orange juice and lime juice in a blender until smooth and creamy. Add this mixture to the skimmed milk, sugar and low fat yoghurt in a large bowl and whisk together with a hand whisk until light. Pour the mixture into the freezer section of an ice-cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. After, spoon into a freezer-safe container and cover. Freeze for at least an hour and serve.
